Facilitation Centre for Aadhaar Registration, Digital Locker System with e-Sign DSC for Members of Rajya Sabha

                                                                             


 

Members areinformed that the Digital Locker System with e-Sign-DSC Service is beingpromoted by the Government as a part of Digital India Programme of Ministry ofElectronics & Information Technology (MeitY). Digital Locker is aimed ateliminating the usage of physical documents and enables the sharing ofe-documents across government agencies via a mechanism to verify theauthenticity of the documents online, since these documents will be e-signed. Thisfacility is available for all AADHAAR card holders.

 

Members are also informed that the Committeeon Provision of Computer Equipment to Members of Rajya Sabha has inter-aliadecided that the Members of Rajya Sabha may also have the benefit from thesame. In accordance with the direction of the Committee, Ministry of Electronics & InformationTechnology (MeitY) has set up a Facilitation Centre in Room No. 67, ParliamentHouse which shall remain functional till 11th August, 2017, on allworking days, from 10:00 A.M. till 6:00 P.M. to aid Members in AADHAARregistration/modification in existing data, creating their Digital LockerAccounts and uploading their documents using e-sign facility and get benefitfrom the facility.

 

Members,who have not registered themselves for AADHAAR Number so far, may do so at theFacilitation Centre.

 

Members desirous of having Digital Locker Accounts anduploading their documents may carry their AADHAAR cards and copies of thedocuments to be uploaded, to facilitate creation of the Digital Locker Accountsand uploading of documents.

        AnExhibition on Science & Technology Innovations by ScientificMinistries/Departments of Government of India is being organised under theaegis of Department-related Parliamentary Standing Committee on Science &Technology, Environment and Forests, headed by Smt. Renuka Chowdhury, from 28thJuly to 11th August, 2017. Members are requested to attend the inaugural function of theExhibition, to be presided over by the Hon'ble Chairman, Rajya Sabha, scheduledto be held at 3.00 p.m. on Friday, the    28th July, 2017 in the Main Committee Room, Ground Floor,Parliament House Annexe, New Delhi. The Hon'ble Speaker, Lok Sabha, will be theGuest of Honour  on the occasion.  Members are also requested to give theirfeedback on the exhibition.
